OLD CELLS. A NEW PURPOSE.
Build a useful pack from mismatched cells. The weakest bank sets the pace.
Pick a cell, then a bank. Placed cells can be moved.
Cells inside a bank are parallel. Banks connect in series.
THE WORKSHOP RULES
Use every cell exactly once. Fill each bank with its required number of cells.
Parallel bank: capacities add. Resistance is 1 / (1/R₁ + 1/R₂ + …). A low-resistance cell gives current an easier path.
Series pack: voltage adds (3 fictional units per bank), but pack capacity equals the lowest bank capacity. Bank resistances add.
Meet both the capacity target and maximum resistance. Energy = pack voltage × pack capacity. Values are fictional puzzle units; real battery reuse needs extensive engineering.
Controls: click a cell, then a bank; click a placed cell to select it again. Return to tray frees a slot in a full bank. Tab and Enter/Space work on every control. Number keys 1–4 assign the selected cell to a bank. Escape clears selection. Undo reverses a move; Find a partner selects a cell and names a bank in a feasible solution.
Work orders and completion save only on this device. Hints mark the order assisted; Clear bench resets its moves and assistance.
